What is the PAC?

The Herbert Spencer Elementary School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a committee made up of all the parents of the children at Herbert Spencer school.  The primary purpose of the PAC is to represent Herbert Spencer parents and to focus on the best interests of the school students.  Another important role of the PAC is in helping to support all parents to be involved and informed on school issues and to help parents advocate for their children at the staff, school and district levels.

Message from Herbert Spencer PAC Chair

Happy New Year!  It's hard to believe we're around the half-way mark of the school year.

2010 is going to be a fanastic year for our kids.

In review, we had a insightful Rememberance Day assembly with honoured guests from the Legion.

First Light was a beautiful community event filled with treats for both kids and parents alike.  Led by our MC Ron Unger, we listened to Christmas carols and had great community support from Tim Horton's, Derrick Thornhill, and the City of New Westminster to just name a few.  We collected food for the food bank and donations for our local Monarch Place.  Thanks to all who participated.

The Christmas Concert in Massey Theatre was a great success as well.  Mrs. Jeschke and Ms. Nottingham and her daughter worked tirelessly to make an outstanding performance of the Nutcracker.  Our children were all stars.

Our next PAC meeting is FEBRUARY 4th @ 7:30pm in the Herbert Spencer Library.

Here is your invitation to come.
